w6d1 – lifting as planned, weak after holidays

holidays have been good. I have lifted according to plan. decided not to write about it but put that time towards hanging out with family members instead. it was a good choice. it has been hard only eating and sleeping for almost a week. my body was not really in the mood to lift, but my mind luckily was.

went to lift with my better half in her fancy gym. brought a friend along. it was a little bit odd to socialise at 0600 in the morning but it was perfectly fine.

main lift

military press, 5 / 3 / 1+. after warmup:

  1. 5x 60 kg
  2. 3x 67.5 kg
  3. 32x 75 kg (1+)
  4. 1x 75 kg (annoyed)

I stalled on the third rep and aborted just short of halfway up. sometimes the bar is a little heavier than other days. today was such a day.

assistance lifts

bench press: 5x 10 at 85 kg

krocs: 5x 20 reps at 42.5 kg
